- Lead member of the clinical care team which consists of a physician, nurse practitioner or physician assistant, MA’s and administrative/managerial staff; acts as team leader- takes the most active role in setting the pace, the quantity and quality of comprehensive medical care provided at IMC.
- Provides medical care within the standard of care for the primary specialty–Internal Medicine or Family Practice, as well as specialty programs—Bariatrics, Bio-Identical Hormone Replacement, etc.
- Act as supervising physician to nurse practitioners or physician assistants. Physician is responsible for providing the necessary amount of oversight as required by the Texas State Board of Medical Examiners.
- Maintains complete, timely and legible medical records.
- Attends required meetings.
- Meets or exceeds productivity goals.

- Must be able to assess and respond to urgent issues in a competent manner.
- Must maintain effective relationships and communication with the staff at all levels of the organization as well as patients.

- Serves as good ambassador for IMC at all times.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Graduation from an accredited medical school
- Experienced clinical physician
- Board certified or eligible in primary care (family practice or internal medicine).
- Managed care experience preferred
- Licensure/Certification: Licensed in the State of Texas with a free and clear license, DPS and DEA number.
