Wellness Program

Wellness is about preventing diseases, not treating them

At Internet Medical Clinics™ we believe that preventative medicine is an essential part of wellness for every member of your family. By taking the extra time to conduct screenings and educate our patients we can help prevent diseases long before they ever start. Our wellness program recommendations include regular consultations for:

  • Physical examinations
  • Blood work
  • Cancer screenings
  • Diet and exercise program
  • Supplementation and medication education

Preventative Medicine for Women

Women are predisposed to certain diseases that require special care and monitoring for prevention. We recommend:

  • Cholesterol and triglyceride checks
  • Blood cell counts
  • Chemistry and electrolyte serum examination
  • Blood pressure screening
  • Weight management
  • Smoking cessation
  • Exercise stress test
  • Diabetes screening
  • Colon cancer screening (once every 10 years starting at age 40)
  • Pap smear
  • Mammogram (once at age 35 and every two years from ages 40-50 and early thereafter)
  • Hormone replacement therapy (as needed)

Preventative Medicine for Men

Specifically tailored to meet the needs of a man, our wellness recommendations are designed to keep him healthy at all ages:

  • Cholesterol and triglyceride checks
  • Blood cell counts
  • Chemistry and electrolyte serum examination
  • Blood pressure screening
  • Exercise stress test
  • Diabetes screening
  • Weight management
  • Smoking cessation
  • Prostate screening (once at age 35 and every two years from ages 40-50 and early thereafter)
  • Colon cancer screening (once every 10 years starting at age 40)

We will periodically recommend full body scans, heart scans and bone density scans depending on the patient's age, sex and additional risk factors. These body scans provide a non-invasive means of screening for a variety of different diseases.
